Joshua 24:15 "...but as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord."  

 This verse is in the context that Joshua is telling the people of Israel how to honor the Lord and obey him. He says that if it is undesirable to them to do so, then they can serve the world and take the consequences. But he says that he will serve the Lord and so will his household.
 This is an example that each Christian should try to follow everyday of their lives. They should serve the Lord with all their heart because He is their Creator and ultimate Savior. If they decide to not follow Him, then they can do so but will not receive the benefits of being in Heaven with God for all of time.
So, to the best of their sinful abilities, Christians should try to serve the Lord with everything that they have.
Dear Lord, please help me in my walk to serve you in all that I think, do, and say.  Amen.
