Day 14 - Sawyer Todd, Grade 1

Sawyer Todd- 1st Grade

Our class memorized 1 Corinthians 8:6 last week and it has been my favorite verse of all the scriptures we've memorized this year. It says, "But we know that there is only one God, the Father, who created everything, and we live for Him."

 

God created us and loves us, so we should love Him back. We can show our love for Him by praying to Him and obeying His word. We can be nice to others and help those who need it, like the people in Japan. Our church collected over $20,000 today to help the people who were in the earthquake!

We show God that we love Him by reading the Bible or listening to other people tell us stories from the Bible. When we hear these stories, our faith in Jesus grows. We live for God when we obey our parents because the Bible says we'll live a long life. God loves when His children obey Him.
