John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son, for whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”
What this verse means is that when you put your faith in Jesus Christ you will have a life to go forever, or eternal life.
Our part in this is that we are the world, sinners and believers (even though even though we are sinners), so God sent His son to save us. He loves us so much He sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. We shall do everything God tells us. When you believe you are still a sinner bit God tells you, sometimes, through your conscience, what’s right and what’s wrong.
Do you believe? If you do, you too can have eternal life.
Lord God, Creator of all things, may your will be done in our lives. Please help us to do what you want us to do. Thank you for creating us. We want to do your works. In everything we do, may it be what you want. In your Name we pray, AMEN.
