Noah Glueck- Grade 4

Ephesians 6:1-3

Children obey your parents in the Lord for this is right.  Honor your father and mother which is the first commandment with a promise that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.
Drew said to Tommy, "Why do you always obey your parents?"
Tommy said, "The Bible says to honor your parents."
Drew said, "That does not make people like you."
Tommy said,  "It doesn't matter if people don't like me.  What matters is that I am obedient and besides the Bible says that I may enjoy long life on the earth if I respect my parents."
Drew said "Ok you win.  I should obey my parents."

Prayer:  "Dear Lord please help me to honor my parents and do what is right because it will help me when I get older to enjoy long life on this earth."
